10-year-old girl abused by father, brother, and brother’s friend; mother fails to act

A 10-year-old girl has allegedly been subjected to repeated sexual abuse by her father and brother while her mother watches helplessly, unable to intervene.

The post, shared by a concerned individual, reveals the harrowing ordeal of a 10-year-old girl from Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Nigeria, who has been repeatedly sexually abused by her father, brothers, and even her brother’s friend.

Shockingly, the girl’s mother is aware of the abuse but feels powerless to intervene, while the school’s headmaster has refused to cooperate with authorities due to fear.

The post was made after the individual received direct messages from a teacher at the girl’s school, who reported the situation.

“The girl is in Ogbomosho Oyo state, she is 10yr old, and she is been continuously raped by her father, brother, and her brother’s friend. The person that talked to me is a teacher from her school, she said she asked her and she confessed that it’s true.”

“Their neighbors also confessed that the issue caused fight between her mother and father, but the mother at this point have given up because there is nothing she can do about it again.”

“The Headmaster of the school have also refused to cooperate because she is scared, she said the father is probably doing it for some juju or something.”

“Even the girl’s friends and school mates also confirmed it, they said everyone in the school knows about it.”

According to the teacher, the girl confirmed the abuse when questioned. Neighbors also acknowledged the issue, revealing that it had caused conflicts between the girl’s parents.

However, the mother has reportedly given up, feeling there is nothing she can do to stop the abuse.

The headmaster’s refusal to cooperate stems from fear, with claims that the father may be involved in some form of ritualistic practice (“juju”).

Disturbingly, the girl’s classmates and friends are also aware of the abuse, as it appears to be widely known within the school community.

In her post, the individual expressed her anguish over the situation, writing: “There’s so much going on in this world that kills me. A young 10-year-old is being sexually abused by her own father and brothers, and the mother says there’s nothing she can do?”

“And the headmaster is refusing to cooperate with authorities because he’s scared of juju? Who exactly does the girl child have in society? What can we do to remedy this situation? Foster care? How do we go about it? Someone please help me out here.”

The post included screenshots of the messages she received, which detailed the abuse and the lack of action from those in a position to help.

As the post gained traction online, concerned individuals flooded the comments section, expressing their outrage and calling for immediate intervention to rescue the child and hold the perpetrators accountable.
