Serie A: Milan pick seventh consecutive victory with 3-0 win against Lecce

Milan picked their seventh consecutive win across all competitions with a 3-0 victory against 10-man Lecce.

Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud, and Rafael Leao found the net for the hosts, but the match was marred by refereeing controversy.

Despite missing key players due to suspension and injury, Milan started brightly, with Pulisic opening the scoring with a top-corner finish.

Giroud doubled the lead with an unconventional header, ending his goal drought in the league.

Lecce’s hopes of a comeback suffered a blow when Nikola Krstovic was sent off for a dangerous challenge on Pulisic.

However, controversy ensued shortly after the restart when Pontus Almqvist appeared to be fouled in the build-up to Milan’s third goal by Leao.

The referee allowed play to continue, leading to protests from Lecce players and officials.

Despite Milan controlling the game, Lecce had opportunities to pull a goal back, but Maignan made crucial saves to keep his clean sheet.
