Sancho rules out Man United return even if Ten Hag is sacked

Jadon Sancho has ruled out a return to Manchester United once his loan spell with Borussia Dortmund is over by next month.

According to reports, Dortmund are set to initiate talks with United regarding an extension for the player to stay back in Germany.

While Dortmund are unlikely to afford Sancho’s permanent transfer fee this summer, they are exploring the option of extend his loan for another year.

Part of the deal will potentially include a buyout clause at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Despite United’s hefty £73 million investment in Sancho in 2021, the 24-year-old winger struggled to meet expectations at Old Trafford.

His fallout with United manager Erik ten Hag, at the time, escalated, following a defeat to Arsenal in August, leading to speculation about his future.

After being kept out from the squad due to disciplinary actions, Sancho found redemption when he returned to Dortmund in January.

He has since established himself as a vital member of the team, and was a delight to watch during Dortmund’s recent win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final clash.

While there have been rumours about a potential return to United, Sancho appears inclined to continue his career in Germany, even if Ten Hag is shown the exit door this season.
