Ooni of Ife set to marry two more wives before 48th birthday in October
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi will be taking two more wives before his 48th birthday this October.
Recall that before ascending the throne, the Ooni was married to Adebukola Bombata. The marriage was contracted in 2008 but ended in 2015.
Shortly after his coronation, the Ooni married Edo-born Zainab-Otiti Obanor in 2016 but the union lasted for 17 months before their separation.
The Osun monarch then married Prophetess Morenike Naomi Oluwaseyi Silekunola in 2018 and the marriage produced a son before the divorce announcement in December 2021.
The new wedding ceremonies will be held weeks after he married his fourth wife, Olori Mariam Anako, a Queen from Ebira in Kogi state, and also after Olori Elizabeth Opeoluwa Ogunwusi nee Akinmuda was betrothed to him in Magodo, Lagos.
This October, the Osun monarch will be marrying Tobi Phillips and Ashley Adegoke.
Tobi Phillips who was initially tipped to replace Oloori Zainab Wuraola after her marriage to the Ooni crashed in 2017, is a graduate of Marine Science from the University of Lagos and a former Beauty Queen.
Queen Ashley is said to be from the Lafogido royal house and she has a Masters in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich.
The chartered accountant who currently runs her businesses in the United Kingdom, alongside an NGO that caters to less privileged kids and widows through the Ashley Adegoke Foundation, already has a child with another man according to media personality, Kemi Ashefon.
Her late father, Jacob Adebiyi Adegoke was a Prince of the source.
