Oluwo of Iwo Slams Osun Magistrate for Ordering His Arrest

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has replied the Osun state magistrate court which ordered his arrest on Tuesday.

Writing on his Instagram, the monarch insisted that he is innocent  of the charges leveled against him, while using harsh terms to describe the ‘cohorts’ orchestrating the legal drama.

The money magistrate that issues an arrest warrant is mentally retarded and needs to be probed, remanded and dumped at the Aro Psychiatric Hospital [in] Abeokuta,” Oba Akanbi began, adding that the order ‘can’t be implemented’.

The arrest warrant was issued after the Iwo monarch failed to show up in court in November to respond to the suit filed against him by the Oluwo of Iwo-Oke, Oba Kadiri Adeoye.

As we earlier reported, the Oba Adeoye accused the Iwo monarch of concealing facts about his past before his installation as a first class monarch. He was also accused of keeping armed thugs, miscreants and hoodlums around to harass, intimidate, molest and attack persons whom he perceived as his enemies. Plus, the court affidavit claimed that the Iwo monarch forged his name to obtain travelling documents to the United States where he was jailed in New York City and deported to Nigeria in year 2000.

Oba Akanbi had previously described the accusations as “scandalous, vexations and designed to embarrass, blackmail and ridicule the monarch in the view of right thinking members of the society”.

Now, he is spitting fire on his Instagram, while denying that he had ever engaged in fraudulent practices. “Let the cohorts and conspirators know that I will never join anything in worship with God and will never be in your secret cults! Bastards!!”
