“Mama, they rejected me, but you didn’t leave” – Grandma cries for joy as granddaughter completes NYSC

A Nigerian youth corps member brought tears of joy to the faces of her grandmother as she gave her her NYSC khaki to wear and also her certificate to hold as she passed out from the NYSC scheme.

This is contained in a video which has attracted thousands of likes, shares, and comments on social media.

In the said video, an elderly woman believed to be the grandmother was seen crying while wearing the NYSC attire and holding her granddaughter’s certificate.

The video was captioned: “Who am I without God and my grandmother, absolutely nothing 😭 #YouMadeMeWhoIAmToday, Mama. They rejected me, but you didn’t leave. We started the journey together right from primary school 😢 Mama, we made it Alhamdulilahi 🙏. #Alhamdulillah.”

The lady also attached a different post with a photo of herself after her passing out parade (POP).
