“I need help” – Benzema addresses goal drought, future at Al-Ittihad

Former Real Madrid ace Karim Benzema, has revealed reasons for his goal scoring drought at Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

Benzema, who last scored for Al-Ittihad in December, has acknowledged differences between his current team and his time at Real Madrid.

He said, “I’m not the same Benzema of Real Madrid because it’s not the same game, the same players.

“I need help on the pitch, I need a lot of things. I can’t win games alone,” he remarked in a recent interview.

Regarding his future and the ongoing rumours about a potential move in the upcoming summer transfer, the French man remained tight-lipped.

“For me, the most important is here for the moment. Let’s see what happens in the future.”

Benzema made a surprise move to Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023, reportedly signing a lucrative two and a half year contract worth $200 million.

Despite the hefty price tag, his goal drought has fueled speculation about his future at the club and the possibility of a transfer in the upcoming transfer window.
