Brighton beat Spurs 4-2 to complicate issues for Postecoglou

Brighton have secured a 4-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur, with Pervis Estupinan stealing the spotlight, coming back from injury.

The Ecuadorian full-back, who had been sidelined since September, made a vital impact after coming on as a substitute due to an injury to Igor Julio.

Brighton had earlier taken the lead with goals from Jack Hinshelwood and a penalty converted by Joao Pedro.

Estupiñán made it three, before a beautiful effort by Pedro capped the win for the Seagulls.

Despite Tottenham’s efforts, including goals from Alejo Veliz and Ben Davies, they were unable to mount a successful comeback.

The defeat dealt a blow to Spurs’ top-four hopes, leaving them in a challenging position in the Premier League standings.
