Bishop Feyi Daniels sentenced to life in prison for rape

The Bishop of I Reign Christian Ministry, Feyi Daniels has been sentenced to life in prison by a court in Lagos for raping a 23-year-old church member.

Reports also say that Feyi Daniels was also given a three-year prison sentence by Judge Rahman Oshodi for molesting a 19-year-old church member (count three of the four-count allegation).

The judge ruled that the cleric should live the rest of his life at the Lagos-based Kirikiri detention center.

Reports further say that the prosecution proved the elements of the two charges describing Feyi Daniels as a dishonest and untruthful person.

On the other hand, the judge dismissed the second count of the charge, which concerned the rape of another church member (name withheld), and found him not guilty.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Daniels was charged with four revised counts that included attempted rape, sexual assault, and rape.
