Barcelona president unhappy with Xavi, as squad split over manager’s potential exit

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is under fire once again, as the club prepare to make critical decision about his future.

Despite initially planning to leave, Xavi was convinced to stay by club president Joan Laporta.

Although Barcelona went on to win the clash against Almeria, Xavi’s statement reportedly angered Laporta.

Reported talks between Xavi and Laporta are set for the coming days, with a decision expected early next week on whether he stays or not.

The situation has also caused division within the Barcelona squad.

According to reports coming from the cosmopolitan capital of Spain, some players feel mistreated by Xavi and have expressed to Laporta their openness to his departure.
