Lady who voted for APC cries out as she loses job and gets evicted by landlord
A Nigerian lady has come forward to share her distressing experiences allegedly triggered by her support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 general election.
The lady, who identifies as a pharmacist and influencer, recounted her harrowing story on the microblogging site, Twitter.
According to Mr. Mekzy, who shared the woman’s story on Twitter, she had traveled from Lagos to Ekiti to cast her vote in favor of the APC during the 2023 general election.
However, shortly after exercising her democratic right, her life reportedly took a drastic turn for the worse.
As per Mr. Mekzy’s account, the woman claimed that she lost her job in the aftermath of the election.
Additionally, her predicament worsened when her landlord, who was a supporter of the Labour Party, served her with an eviction notice, leaving her homeless and in a state of despair.
The lady’s personal relationships also suffered as a result of her political choice.
Her boyfriend allegedly broke up with her, and her friends, who were supporters of the Labour Party, distanced themselves from her, leading to feelings of isolation and abandonment.
Struggling to make ends meet, the woman claimed that she faced extreme financial hardship and even had to resort to selling her phone to meet her basic needs, including food.
Her distress was compounded by online ridicule and mockery in the comment section of her Instagram posts, which she tearfully shared.
The post reads;
“This babe on instagram was complaining about the terrible things that happened to her because she voted APC. She said she lost her job , her landlord gave her a quit notice, her boyfriend broke up with her, all her LP friends distanced themselves from her, she had to sell her phone to eat cos hunger nearly blinded her.
Someone in the comment section said “you still get cloth na, before the end of this year you suppose don dey wear leaf for body.”

@MrMekzy_ added; “Apparently she left lagos to go to ekiti to vote, stayed for a while and by the time she got back her job had replaced her.. For the house, her landlord was a staunch LP man so he asked her to move.”

Once people know there will be consequences, they act right. I look forward to seeing her roaming the streets wretched & singing, ‘on your mandate.”
@Balatic said; “All of them are looking for compensation! Them never start. It’s like you don’t know what you voted. Have you seen a drug addict before? They would beg for money to go and buy the drug. Someone that did that trade? That’s whom you wan try emotional blackmail on? A drug baron? 🙄”
