New York based blogger Claire Sulmers recently interviewed Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage about her music, style, her legacy and more.

During the interview, Claire read a question from an Instagram follower who asked Tiwa the question: How are you coping after your marriage crisis”

Tiwa’s response was:

“hmmmm…where’s the PR, cut, noooo… I don’t know if I am allowed to answer that question. I did speak on Elle magazine recently in South Africa and I said I would never address anything to do with my private life again. Because I just think that its some scared and that’s one lesson that I learned.”

Tiwa also says she wants to be remembered as a global artist.

“I don’t want to be remembered as one of the biggest female artists out of Africa, I just want to be remembered as one of the biggest artists period. [I want to be known as] one of the people that was part of the revolution that happened with Afro music to the world. I also want to be remembered as a very strong woman and someone who inspired a lot of people that regardless of the challenges we go through as women, you can still achieve a lot. It’s a long road and it’s a slow race. It definitely is about pacing yourself and never ever giving up.”

  1. Good . Towa, thank GOD for you, for this decession, at least, your are now becoming wiser, but never you regret, because, wen there is no mistakes, there will be no correction and there will be no perfection as well. Now that you have maked a great mistake and come back again and realized yourself,You have learnt your lesson, you are now going to be a greate woman and good adviser. Ride on

  2. Second time you’re complaining and regretting…..you better go now and correct what you spoil…..if you leave it more long, it maybe too late to correct….. go and apologise to your husband and reconcile with him.

    • You see pride can destroy a lot, what is there to say am sorry, whether the husband is at fault or she’s at fault, she need that man no matter what… Am sorry can go a long way
