In form Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has been uncovered to be in close talks with Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi earlier in the month.
According to France Football, the Portuguese captain came face to face with Al-Khelaifi in a Paris hotel the day he produced a five-star display which led Los Blancos to a memorable 3 – 0 win over Wolfsburg.
Intrestingly the pair had met on four previous occasions before the recent meeting which almost put to bed a speculative move to the French capital.
Ronaldo has been in sparkling form again since the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as manager after a not too good performance under former manager, Rafa Benitez.
It would be recalled that a blistering performance by Ronaldo ensured Real Madrid qualified for the Uefa Champions League semi-final. The Portuguese netted a hat trick against Wolfsburg to upturn their 0 – 2 loss in the first leg; as Real Madrid won 3 – 2 on aggregates.
