Boko Haram Attacks College of Administrative Studies in Yobe

According to reports, Boko Haram attacked College of Administrative studies in Pokiskum, Yobe, today, May 8, 2015.

A suicide bomber is said to have died, five students shot and wounded, while 45 others were injured when trying to escape.

Associated Press reported that the gunmen arrived around 8:00 a.m and opened fire at the school gate. Security guards ran away but it was not clear if they had guns.

Boko Haram kept shooting as they jumped the school wall and detonated a bomb at the student dorm, according to witnesses who spoke on condition of anonymity because they fear reprisals.

Soldiers and police officers rush into the college where they engaged the attackers in a firefight.
