Portable eyes Grammy for best African artiste

Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, sets his sights on the Grammy Award in the Best African Artist category, as he releases a statement.

The controversial singer, in an exclusive chat, revealed his plan to bag a Grammy award when asked about the category he’d like to win.

Online personality, Timi Agbaje, known for his controversial interviews, asked the singer, “What’s that thing that, when you’ve done it, when you’ve run it, it’s finished. You’ve completed everything you have in mind to do?”

Portable answered without hesitation, “If I didn’t lie, it is to win a Grammy Award.”

Timi Agbaje pushed further, asking Portable, “Which category?”

Portable, without hesitation, added, “Best Artist in Africa, number one.”

The singer emphasized his need for an international award, not a local one.
