Bundesliga: Bayern put UCL heartbreak behind to beat Wolfsburg 2-0

Despite their recent Champions League defeat, Bayern Munich bounced back with a 2-0 win over Wolfsburg in their final home match.

Bayern were quick to show their intent in the game, with a four-minute opener.

Thomas Müller initiated the attack that led to Lovro Zvonarek’s brilliant finish on his full Bundesliga debut, but Alphonso Davies takes credit for the assist.

Another young talent, Bryan Zaragoza, made his mark by providing a fine cross for Müller to set up Leon Goretzka’s goal, doubling Bayern’s lead in the opening 45 minutes.

Although Zaragoza thought he had scored his first goal shortly after, an offside call against Müller prevented further damage for Wolfsburg.

Despite some adjustments in the tactical lineup for the visitors in the second half, Wolfsburg struggled to break through Bayern’s defense.

The win propelled Bayern back into second place in the Bundesliga standings, while Wolfsburg’s hopes for European football next season were dashed.
